She was born on September 3, 1939 in the beautiful parish of St. Ann, Jamaica. Sydanes was the daughter of Albert and Daisy Edwards. Her siblings consisted of two sisters, Evelyn and Glentine Edwards. Sydanes had many hobbies some of which included singing in the choir, reading, and directing.
She met, fell in love and married Llewellyn Constantine Plummer who precedes her. They produced seven children, their names are as follows: Berris, Romaine, Gary, Julia, Paul, Ingrid, and Sherlon Plummer.
In her early years while living in Jamaica, Sydanes attended Gibraltar All Age School, and then moved on to Duffs Business College. She later, graduated from the Andrews School of Nursing and worked in that field well after she migrated to the United States. In the United States, Sydanes attended the Lighthouse and Margate SDA church where she officiated as Sabbath School Superintendent and Church Building Fundraiser. Her leadership skills launched her into other areas of ministry, which included: choir member, sabbath school teacher, pathfinder director, and social program director. She was a spiritual woman of God. Her passion was working for the Lord. Only what we do for Christ will last was her motto.
She is survived by 20 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Sydanes was a devoted sister, daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Her kindness, loyalty, and compassion afforded her many friends. She is loved and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.
